Augusta, Georgia – The tee times for the first and second rounds of the 2021 Masters are over. As usual, Augusta National distributed wealth proportionately to these triad groups. There will be intrigue at the first starting point on the first four long and wonderful spring days of the first major tournament of 2021.
The Masters’ return to April had long been anticipated since the rescheduled event went unhindered last November. The 88-player course that starts early Thursday is lush with stars with nearly all of the best golfers in the world. This is evident when looking at the groups as Augusta National prepared them for the first round. Check out our full site 2021 cover masters A guide for information on how to watch live.
The first big group to start with are Bubba Watson, Brooks Koepka, and Viktor Hovland. Other things that follow are really interesting mixing and matching of past heroes, hobbyists, and current starts. Here are some of the things that stand out from the packaging.
Augusta National doesn’t really do the huge groups the first couple of days, which is great when you want to spread your attention to the entire tournament. You get the nice amalgamation of many different types of players at different stages in their careers and a controllable number of golfers (88) instead of trying to press 156 before sunset.
Probably my favorite group is the one that includes Speth, which I picked this week to win. He and Morikawa have been the best iron players on the planet since February 1. Throwing in Cameron Smith, who finished the top five out of two of the last three champions, is a really exciting trio.
Let’s take a look at the 30 groups that will start playing on Thursday at the 85th Masters Tournament, and follow along Live coverage of the 2021 Masters Championship. All times are oriental
