University of the South Pacific ranks 90th among the most respected universities for employers in the world, according to a survey | education
1 min readThe University of São Paulo (USP) has been considered the 90th most highly regarded educational institution by employers, According to a classification released on Wednesday (24) by the global data company Times Higher Education.
In the previous version of this same survey, in 2020, the University of the South Pacific ranked 109th.
To compile the list, the company’s 11,000 recruiters evaluated educational institutions from 44 countries, based on the following criteria:
- Development of “soft skills” (Behavioral skills such as flexibility, confidence, motivation, and communication);
- specialty research training;
- focus in career path career path;
- performance in digital area;
- Academic Excellence;
- International.
“The ranking helps students choose universities that offer the best employment prospects,” says Sandrine Belloc, Director of Research.
“It shows how important digitization, specialization or social skills – much more than the prestige of a university.”
The jurors named the 250 universities the most highly regarded by employers.
The top three places in the ranking are from the United States. See the top 10 below:
- Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA)
- California Institute of Technology (USA)
- Harvard University (USA)
- University of Cambridge (UK)
- Stanford University (USA)
- University of Tokyo (Japan)
- Yale University (USA)
- University of Oxford (UK)
- National University of Singapore (Singapore)
- Princeton University (USA)
In the list of the ten countries most mentioned by employers, in addition to those listed above, they also appear: France, Germany, China, Canada, Australia, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
