Jorge Jesus surprises and announces his departure from Benfica

The second stanza of Jorge Jesus ended under Benfica’s leadership. And the coach himself confirmed his departure from the Portuguese club, in a call with journalist Vinny Casagrande.
“I made my position available. I’m on my way out,” Jorge Jesus told journalist Vinny Casagrande.

The coach will not lead Benfica in the match against Porto, which will be held next Thursday (30), for the Portuguese championship.
He also told the journalist that people linked to Jorge Jesus had said that Benfica’s solution would be by mutual agreement. Thus, the coach does not suspend the termination fine for leaving the Portuguese club.
