247 – The US government said, Thursday, that it does not see the possibility of removing Russia from its seat as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, at the request of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
“We don’t expect that to happen, we certainly understand that they have a permanent seat on the UN Security Council,” White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki told a news conference.
The spokeswoman added that President Joe Biden “has made it clear that he does not intend to send US forces to war with Russia.”
