Childhood friend of Flávio Bolsonaro has been nominated to head CVM

Attorney Joao Pedro Barroso do Nascimento confirmed that he knows Flavio Bolsonaro and acknowledged that the senator may have influence in the nomination.
247 – Jair Bolsonaro has appointed attorney Joao Pedro Barroso do Nascimento – a childhood friend of his son Flavio Bolsonaro – to head the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM), the body that regulates Brazil’s stock market.
The Senate will analyze the nomination published on Monday (4) in the Official Gazette.
In an interview with O Globo newspaper, Nascimento confirmed that he knew Flavio and admitted that the senator may have been involved in the nomination process, but said that this was inconclusive.
“I imagine he participated. [Mas] He said that the choice belongs to the Ministry of Economy and not to anyone from Planalto. “I have no doubt what he weighs is that [currículo]’, he confirmed.
