The total balance of the bank’s mortgage loan portfolio is R$570.5 billion, an increase of 10.1% compared to the first three months of last year.

In addition, the number of Caixa customers closed the first quarter of this year at 148.4 million. The organization has seen an increase of about 55 million new customers since the end of 2018. There are currently approximately 221.6 million active accounts in the organization, according to the quarterly budget.

Caixa: Agribusiness Finance and Microcredit

Caixa highlighted the growth in agribusiness financing in the country. According to the balance sheet, the bank moved from eighth to second place in the credit market for the sector.

R$6.7 billion was granted in credit in the first three months of the year, an increase of 204.6% in contracts. Agribusiness reached R$21.2 billion, with a growth of 142.9%.

Regarding microcredit, Caixa reports that R$1.2 billion has already been awarded, with nearly 1.7 million contracts in place. In addition, about 370,000 nodes included Auxilio Brasil beneficiaries.
