Portrait of an American investor
2 min readI was curious, with the same “competitive” interest, and decided to research a similar portrait for the American investor.
It is interesting to note how the economic situation of the country affects the interest and profile of its investor. Brazil is a country with historically high interest rates, which favors a stable income market. Last week we saw a clear difference in interests in the charts.
The United States, on the other hand, is a country with historically low interest rates, which favors the overall stock market. You know what? The interest of the American investor in stocks is greater than the interest in fixed income securities. Look at the picture below:
The US investor is more interested in stocks than in fixed income securities
In Blue, the search result for “BONDS” is the English word for fixed income securities. In red, the search result for “STOCKS” is the English word for stock (variable income).
The US investor’s preference for the stock market is very clear, but what about other popular assets like Bitcoin? I decided to include this item in the survey to compare interests:
The yellow line “Bitcoin” indicates the interest of Google searches.
The yellow line “Bitcoin” indicates the interest of Google searches. We have a great champion who is interested, that champion shares.
No less, too. The two largest and most important stock exchanges in the world are the United States, NYSE and NASDAQ.
