Who wants to get vaccinated against the flu? You can get vaccinated from Monday (27/6). Now, the doses will be made available to all residents. The Department of Health (SES) has a stock of over 500,000 doses, applied in 111 Basic Health Units (UBSs) in the Federal District.
The full list of health units to which the vaccination will be applied can be found at this link.
According to the Undersecretary health monitoringDivino Valero, it is important that people look for vaccination points and receive this vaccine, because at the end of last year there was an outbreak of influenza all over the country. “This year’s vaccine already provides protection against the virus that spread in 2021,” he explained.
The national influenza vaccination campaign, which began on April 4, has been limited to priority groups such as the elderly, teachers and children between the ages of six months and five years. However, the goal of vaccinating at least 90% of the 1,086,547 people in these groups was not achieved.
Now, the SES expectation is to increase vaccination coverage for all DF residents at the beginning of winter, which is the period of the increase in the number of cases. The vaccination campaign will continue until the end of the immunization stockpile.
