Who is Theo Kant, the singer who played guitar at Post Malone’s concert in Rock in Rio | Rock in Rio 2022
2 min readTheo Kant, the 21-year-old singer from Niterói (RJ), was called to the Rock in Rio stage and played guitar with Post Malone on Saturday. He was holding a sign asking to play the song “Stay” with the rapper (See the video above).
Theo started playing in church and then went on to invest in “urban” pop music. According to him, little by little he mixed his sound with rock and snare, an alternative rap style with deeper and abstract rhythms.
In recent months, he has released songs like “Now it’s gone” and “Duro como piso”. Previously, I had been posting acoustic and guitar tracks on YouTube for songs by other artists such as Djavan (“Azul”) and Los Hermanos (“Sentimental”).
On Spotify, Kant has 1,352 listeners per month and ten songs recorded on the streaming platform. Most heard is “too stupid”, followed by “molytum”.
On Saturday night, he wrote on his Twitter profile: “Shall I play Post Malone today?” To achieve this goal, he had to press himself into the front grille of Palco Mundo holding the poster that made him a supporting musician for the title of Festival Night.

Before the duo, Post drifted away while singing “Better Now” on the stairs in front of the stage, and after a few jumps, he slipped and fell to the ground.
With rain throughout the performance, the stage was very humid. After the fall, Malone got up and continued the show as usual.
