Latam will have daily flights to Australia and New Zealand later this year
1 min readThe only Latin company that flies to Oceania, LATAM, will now have daily and direct flights to the other side of the world.
Before the pandemic, the company flew two flights to Australia and one to New Zealand, the only connection to Oceania ever made by a Latin American company. However, with Covid-19, these tracks have been canceled and only Returned in March of this yearon the Santiago de Chile – Auckland – Sydney – Auckland – Santiago route, which is currently the longest in Latin America.
Now, according to the company’s reservation system data, this flight is operated five times a week. It will operate on six frequencies on the first of October, and daily flights will start on the fifth of December.
The route will remain the same and in the same way, operated by the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, but it is worth noting that on October 31, Qantas will return with direct flights from Sydney to Santiago, also operated by the 787-9, increasing flight options.
