Minas records more than 500 cases of monkeypox – ONDA POÇOS
1 min readMinas Gerais recorded 575 cases of monkeypox virus. The data was released on Friday, 2nd, by the state Department of Health (SES-MG).
According to the epidemiological bulletin, another 1,937 cases were neglected, and there are 281 suspected cases of the disease.
To date, three deaths due to the disease have been recorded in Minas Gerais. The first case was a 41-year-old patient living in Belo Horizonte. The second death was a 21-year-old man who was living in Poso Alegre. The third death was of a 33-year-old man who lived in Divinopolis, but was taken to hospital in Belo Horizonte and died on October 22.
The Secretariat clarifies that, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (LGPD), it does not mention any individual information relating to patients’ privacy.
