Now, the novelty under test provides new time options for temporary messages to disappear. Thus, the user can choose between periods of 1 year, 180 days, 30 days, 21 days, 14 days, 6 days, 4 days, 3 days, 2 days, 12 hours, 6 hours and 3 hours, one hour.
However, it should be noted that the novelty in the testing phase is only for the beta version of WhatsApp for desktop. The instant messaging tool is still developing the feature for Andriod and iOS versions, however, there is still no release date.
In practice, this time variance of disappearing messages is useful for those who want to save space or even protect their privacy.
Users of WhatsApp Business, for example, which is aimed at businesses and professionals, will be able to use the tool as a way to periodically clean up contacts with customers. Especially because when used commercially, saving space inside the tool is key, since there is a high turnover of conversations and negotiations.
How it works
The temporary messaging feature is nothing more than a feature in which the user chooses how long his messages will be available in a chat or group. However, it should be noted that the automatic action only occurs with messages sent after the feature has been activated.
Finally, there are two possible uses. The default, which includes all conversations or selects some contacts. There is also the ability to activate the feature in groups. In these cases, temporary messages in groups clear the chat content for all users and not just those who have activated the function.
