Pushed by the crowd that gathered Independencia, Cruzeiro beat Grêmio, 1-0, this Saturday (22/4), in the second round of the Brazilian championship. Striker Bruno Rodrigues scored the match’s goal in the 18th minute of the final stage.
With a bold stance, Raposa was attacking through the 90 minutes, flanking the turn three colours. Peppa’s team had the best goal chances.
In the first half Cruzeiro missed many clear chances with Gilberto, Bruno Rodriguez and Richard. In the second phase, the film was repeated until the number 9 jersey filled the net. In the last minutes, Grêmio tried to play and scare Raposa, but he didn’t score.

Lots of opportunities for Cruzeiro
The match started with Luis Suarez showing his quality in the first minute. After a side kick in the Tricolor attack, the ball was missed by defender Lucas Oliveira, which was left for “El Pistolero” to hit first. Rafael Cabral put up a good defense.
Gradually Cruzeiro was controlling the game and creating the best chances. In the 28th minute, Gilberto scored with a header after a corner kick, but goalkeeper Gabriel Jandreau hit it hard.
