Entrepreneurs celebrate a new loan repayment deadline
2 min readPronampe has news for entrepreneurs! Last week, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva ratified the law extending the repayment period for loans. The President reopened the National Support Program for Small and Micro Enterprises.
With the novelties of the new credit program, entrepreneurs will enjoy more benefits, according to the guidelines of Vice President Geraldo Alcmene. Now, the payment terms for Pronampe Lines will have a period of 72 months for micro and small businesses.
What is brunambi?
As we saw above, the National Support Program for Small Businesses and Small Outlet Companies, or Pronampe, is a government programme. Initially, it was created in 2020, during the pandemic. Through it, micro and small companies obtain a line of credit, provided by the Caixa Econômica Federal. With this, entrepreneurs get resources to build and boost their businesses.
With this money, the business can:
- Investing in equipment and renovations.
- Use it for operating expenses such as payroll, bill payments, and merchandise.
It is forbidden to use the loan for profit sharing.
Through Pronampe, obtaining credit is easier and faster, allowing loans of up to 30% of companies’ annual revenue. In addition, it guarantees a minimum loan amount of R$15,000.
What is changing for business?
In addition to the increase in the term, the grace period has increased to 18 months, but the interest rate has remained unchanged: Selic + 6% per annum. Loans extended through 2021 by entrepreneurs through the program can also be renegotiated.
Another novelty from Pronampe is for companies with Selo Emprega + Mulher. In this case, instead of 60, the payment period becomes 72 months.
It should be noted that these loan rules for entrepreneurs have been in effect since October 2022 with a temporary measure published and made possible by former President Jair Bolsonaro.
However, with the passage of the law only now happening by President Lula, the rules will be in effect for 4 months. For Congress to be effective, the law must be passed after this period.
