1 min readDutch police said officers were surprised to arrest a drunk driving man on Monday who was using a driver’s license who identified him as “Boris Johnson”. It was supposed to be a fake document It was issued in 2019, in Ukraine, and was valid until the year 3000.
“Unfortunately for this person, we did not fall for his fraud,” Groningen police said on their Instagram account.
In the early hours of Monday morning, Dutch police investigated a car collision with a pole near the Emma Bridge in the northern city of Groningen. The car was abandoned with the document in it, but the police were later informed that the driver was pulled over on the bridge itself.
Upon meeting the 35-year-old driver, he “refused to submit to a breathalyzer test [e foi preso]Local police spokesman Thes Damstra told AFP.
Police could not locate where the forged document was submitted, however Fake wallets can be easily purchased in tourist shops in Ukraine.
