Missile Attack Claims Lives of Crew in the Gulf of Aden

Three crewmembers have been confirmed dead in a recent ballistic missile attack in the Gulf of Aden, as reported by the U.S. Central Command. The attack, carried out by Iranian-backed Houthi terrorists from Yemen, targeted the M/V True Confidence, a Barbados-flagged vessel. At least four injuries have also been reported in the aftermath of the attack.

Coalition warships are currently on the scene, assessing the situation following the deadly assault. The UK Secretary of State for Defense has condemned the attack and praised the Indian Navy for their swift response in rescuing crewmembers and providing critical medical aid.

The International Maritime Organization has expressed their condolences for the lives lost in the attack and has called for more protection for seafarers. Meanwhile, the International Transport Workers’ Federation has strongly condemned the attack and called for ships to be rerouted around the Cape of Good Hope to ensure the safety of maritime workers.

The ITF has also mourned the loss of the seafarers and highlighted the dedication and courage of those working in the maritime industry. The incident serves as a grim reminder of the risks faced by those working at sea and the need for increased security measures to protect their lives.
