In a jaw-dropping off-market deal, Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, has acquired his third waterfront estate on the exclusive Indian Creek Island for a staggering $90 million. The six-bedroom mansion will serve as Bezos’ temporary residence while renovations are completed on two other properties he previously purchased on the island.
Originally sold for a mere $2.5 million in 1998, the property has since undergone extensive expansions, now boasting a swimming pool, boat dock, and an impressive 10,000 square feet of living space. Bezos, who announced his relocation from Seattle to Miami last November on Instagram, cited a desire to be closer to family and his fiancée as the primary reason for the move.
With this latest acquisition, Bezos has now spent a total of $237 million on three homes on Indian Creek Island. He joins other notable figures such as NFL star Tom Brady, political power couple Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump, and billionaire investor Carl Icahn who also call the island home.
Indian Creek Island is known for its exclusivity and luxury amenities, including a private 18-hole golf course and access to a prestigious country club. Bezos’ latest purchase solidifies his status as a resident among the elite on this coveted island paradise.
