Health officials in Los Angeles County have issued a warning about potential measles exposure after an unidentified traveler with the disease visited several locations in the area. The traveler, who was infected with measles, visited various locations in the county between March 30 and April 1.

The California Department of Public Health notified the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health about the individual who had measles. The traveler visited nearly a dozen locations, with most of them being in Universal City and at the Sheraton hotel near L.A. International Airport. Exposure locations include Universal’s trolley, rides, Sheraton’s gym, and local restaurants.

The complete list of exposure locations can be found on the health department’s website, with other possible exposure locations still under investigation. Health officials are urging individuals who visited the specified locations on the specified days to confirm whether they have been vaccinated against measles.

Measles is known to be highly contagious, spreading through the air and direct contact before symptoms even appear. Symptoms can manifest themselves as far out as three weeks after exposure, according to health officials.
