Brazil wins bronze in 4×100 . freestyle relay

The tenth medal for Brazil in swimming at the Paralympics came with the record and luck of Gabriel Bandera by eliminating the Russian team. This Saturday (28), the team won a bronze medal in the 4x100m freestyle relay in the S14 class (for athletes with intellectual disabilities) in Tokyo.

Gabriel also won his third medal in Tokyo. Before, she was a gold in the S14 100m butterfly and silver in the 200m freestyle S14, becoming one of Brazil’s highlights at this edition of the Paralympics. He still swims in the 100-meter freestyle, and is now the world record holder, in the 100-meter backstroke and 200-meter medley.

Great Britain won the gold with a time of 3 minutes 40 seconds and 63, which is a new world record, and Australia took the silver with a time of 3 minutes 46 seconds and 38 seconds.

How was the test

Who opened the race for Brazil was Gabriel Bandera, who got off to a great start and put in pole position. Anna Carolina swam in the second half, but Australia took first, leaving the Brazilian behind.

Deborah entered the third round and Brazil finished the race with Felipe, who swam to reach the podium. The team qualified for the final with the same swimmers with a time of 3 minutes 52 seconds and 91, placing fourth.

Last Thursday, another Brazilian quartet entered the pool in Tokyo and won the bronze medal in the 4x50m freestyle relay up to 20 points, with Daniel Dias, Patricia Pereira dos Santos, Joanna Maria and Talison Gluck.

With this medal in swimming, Brazil now totals 22 at the Tokyo Paralympics. There are six golds, five silvers and 11 bronzes. Five were already occupied on Saturday: two in athletics, with silver Thalita Simplicio In the 400m dash T11 and bronze Juliana da Silva In the F57 class, throw the discus.
