Activision Blizzard Games is coming to Xbox Game Pass

With the recent news that Xbox has sent all the required information to it FTC About the big deal from Activision Blizzard, we’re starting to get excited about the possibility of titles from the publisher making their way to Xbox Game Pass. Of course, we’ve known for a while that Xbox is hoping to bring as many Activision Blizzard games to the library as possible, but now that the deal is finalized in the near future, it’s all starting to feel real.

When we first discovered the acquisition, Microsoft said the deal would close sometime between July 2022 and June 2023. Naturally, with a merger of this magnitude, many of us expected 2023 to be the most likely timeline. The fact that it could be this year now is making us dizzy as Xbox Game Pass grows. With that in mind, the reasons why we’re really excited about Activision Blizzard on Xbox Game Pass, we obviously have some great Blizzard titles on Xbox Game Pass like Overwatch, Diablo, etc., but quite a few of their titles are great too. Only for PC, mainly because of the way it works with controls and the like.

A big bonus we’ll get once Activision gets on board is the breadth of developer talent spread across many of the company’s studios. Sure, most of them are currently working on Call of Duty in some form, but Xbox may change things from place to place so some of those teams are freed up for other projects.
