The title will signal the franchise’s return to two platforms, PlayStation and Apple devices. The PlayStation 5 version will be identical to the Xbox One version and will be called the FM23 Console to distinguish it from the other versions. The series was last shown on Sony consoles on the PS Vita in 2013 with the release of Football Manager 2014 Classic.
iPad, iPhone, Mac, and Apple TV will again receive the Touch version, which reverts to the Apple platform after excluding the 2022 version. Users will be able to purchase FM23 through the Apple Arcade app. In addition to Apple platforms, the Touch version will also be available for purchase on the Nintendo Switch.
Sports Interactive also revealed that competitions organized by UEFA will be fully licensed for the title. For the first time in this series, the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, Europa Conference League and European Super Cup will appear with their official names and logos.
More information about Football Manager 2023 will be released in October. It should be noted that the title will not be officially sold in Brazil, due to licensing issues involving Brazilian teams and Sports Interactive, the series’ creator.
