5G network access

Despite the availability of technology, access still has drawbacks.

In short, to access the network through the operator Vivo it is theoretically necessary to have the operator’s 5G SIM or eSIM. In this case, the option to activate 5G on TIM seems to be available, but it is still not possible to activate the technology via eSIM.

In the case of Claro, for example, access to Pure 5G does not appear even on operator devices.

Historical

The wait was long. It is because iPhone users have been waiting since July last year to use the high-speed internet. The wait coincides with the period when Anatel has begun launching its new mobile network signal in Brazilian capitals.

Previously, there was an expectation that the technology would be available for Apple phones from September 2022. However, the prediction did not materialize.

Finally, the final version of iOS16 is expected to allow access to the new mobile network, regardless of the operator chosen by the user.
