Bahia records 18 more deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours

Bahia has recorded 18 deaths due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. In the same time period, another 3,191 cases were registered by the state health department (Sesab).

According to the bulletin issued earlier Saturday night (16), of the 1,633,038 confirmed cases since the beginning of the epidemic, 1,583,562 have already been considered recovered, 19,298 are active and 30,178 have died. The data may still change.

The epidemiological bulletin still counts 1931306 neglected cases and 354,337 under investigation. In Bahia, 66,773 health workers have been confirmed to have Covid-19.

These data represent the official notifications collected by the Bahia Health Epidemiological Surveillance Board (Divep-BA), together with the municipal surveillance and the databases of the Ministry of Health until 5 pm this Saturday.

To date, the number of people vaccinated with the first dose is 11,635,137, 10,735,308 with the second or single dose, 6,542,653 with the booster dose and 1,103,330 with the second booster dose. Among the general population aged 5 to 11 years, 991,428 children had already been immunized with the first dose, and 582,724 had also received the second dose.
