Beats Studio Buds +: new sibling of AirPods leaked and arriving soon | headphones
2 min readThe Beats Studio Buds + appeared on sale on the Amazon page, in the early hours of Wednesday (26), even before its official launch. According to the specialized site Mac rumorsApple’s Bluetooth headset is listed for launch on May 18th at a price of $169.95, which is about R$851 at the current dollar exchange rate, excluding taxes. The retailer’s page has since been taken down, but while it was available, it revealed potential new features and product details. Among them, the one that attracted the most attention was the transparent design of the headphones charging case.
In addition to a charging case that leaves the internals on display, the Studio Buds+ should come in black and ivory, according to the listing. Otherwise, Apple appears to have preserved the compact look of the existing Beats Studio Buds, without the temples that dangle below the ears, as in the AirPods line.

The Beats Studio Buds+ can have up to 36 hours of battery life when paired with the charging case. This means a 12-hour runtime increase compared to its predecessor, which hits the 24-hour mark of playtime. The information contained in the leak also reveals that the condition of the new device will be similar to the current one, except for the weight. The new version weighs about 110 grams, while the previous one weighed 127 grams.
Another difference is in the microphones, which are three times larger in the air vents. Combined with a more powerful processor, the upgrade should provide Studio Buds+ up to 1.6 times more active noise cancellation and 2 times better performance in “Transparency” mode, compared to the original Studio Buds. According to the listing, the model will also support “spatial audio” mode, a feature that promises a multi-dimensional audio experience, adding space, clarity, and depth to sound reproduction.
Also according to the Amazon page, the new Studio Buds will also be available in four size options on the ear tip for a more comfortable fit. In addition, the phone is expected to offer one-touch pairing for both iOS and Android devices, automatic switching between devices, and compatibility with Apple’s “Find My” tracking app and Siri.
