Puerto Rico showed its superiority in the first half, especially on defense. With the athletes struggling to get to the board, Brazil’s offense made several mistakes and saw the Caribbean ladies open up 14 points on the scoreboard. But the Brazilian team improved at the end of the second quarter, and reduced the gap to only three points: 42 to 39. In the third quarter, Brazil managed to break through the opponent’s key again, mainly with Dameris, and thus managed to take the lead on the scoreboard. Already in the last period, the Brazilians managed to increase the advantage to confirm the victory by 11 points.
