Brewery announces closing activities!
2 min reada csc brewery, of Santa Catarina, announced the closure of activities at the factory located in Forquilhinha. The company was responsible for the manufacture of Coruja, Catarina, Barco and Saint Bier beers and was founded in 2007. After the announcement, the CEO denied that the company had financial problems.
According to the manufacturer, the change will not be caused by internal problems, but by a strategic change in the business. The current goal is to license CSC’s own brands, market to companies that show interest and generate profits based on sales.
The decision will affect 88 employees who will be fired within the next few months and is part of CSC’s plans to design a team that can redeploy professionals who worked for the outsourcing company.
CSC is winding down and has new investments
CSC CEO Bruno Braviano denied the news that appeared about a possible bankruptcy, since in 2022 the company recorded a turnover of R$ 61 million and presented an increase of 17% compared to 2021. However, the scenario is not an ideal time to continue the project.
The craft beer market has struggled economically compared to current values affected by high inflation. Now, CSC plans to invest in licensing its own brands in Santa Catarina, where it faced three years as an offshore company and had restrictions in the trade.
Braviano noted that CSC has studied the potential for growth in the beer market and has seen that it has the potential to expand the business, precisely because of significant growth in 2022. In the south, about 20% of the beer produced is outsourced to companies in Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Fe. Katharina.
At the moment, negotiations are gaining strength in Porto Alegre and Santa Catarina, since the plant has been recognized there. Other mandates are still under way, with initial proposals and deals expected in the south of the country.
