The Bromontoise Marie-Pier Brunet won gold in the slalom at the occasion of the Canada Games, which are presented in Red Deer, Alberta.

“I was aiming for a medal in coming to Red Deer and the slalom is my specialty,” explained the athlete of 15 years, who has started skiing at the age of… 16 months.

Brunet was fourth after the first run, but she negotiated the course in an outstanding manner during the second, and has thus eliminated all competition.
