CAOA Chery will make changes to the Omoda 5 SUV coupe for Brazil only
2 min readCAOA Chery is increasingly becoming Brazilian. Since taking over Chery’s operations in Brazil, the CAOA Group has made important changes to the models that will be sold here. However, heavier engineering work has begun on the Tiggo 7 Pro and goes much further in the future Omoda 5 SUV coupe.
While developing an all-new Tiggo 7 Pro CAOA design and suspension setup only for Brazil, Omoda 5 will have visual changes. According to the information he obtained Auto businessthe first units of the model are already on the national soil for adaptation and changes aimed at our market.
It will be produced nationally like other Chery cars. However, CAOA will make changes to the engine, suspension and transmission as well as to the design. Minor changes have to be made on the back to place the oval Chery logo, where the brand name is written in China. Nothing will fit the CAA together.
On the inside, the oval logo of the brand should be on the steering wheel, for exactly the same reason as on the back. Other, more specific changes remain in doubt. It is possible that the orange detailing is hidden on the bodywork due to the fact that the Brazilian is more straightforward in the choice of colors for the cars sold here.
It is worth noting that the Omoda 5 is slightly larger than the Tiggo 5X Pro, which bridges the gap between it and the Tiggo 7 Pro. It is 4.40 m long, 1.83 m wide and 1.58 m high. The engine is the same 1.6-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine as the Tiggo 8, but with 197 horsepower, 10 more than the seven-seat model. The transmission is a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
