CERN suspends participation of scientists in committees of Russian institutions – observer

The European Organization for Nuclear Research – CERN decided on Friday to suspend the participation of its researchers in the scientific committees of Russian and Belarusian institutions in response to the war in Ukraine.

The decision, made by the CERN Council, comes two weeks after the organization suspended the observer status of Russia and its new cooperation with the state and its institutions in the wake of the military offensive against Ukraine, which is an associate member of CERN.
