Cruzeiro’s deliberation board approves changes proposed by Ronaldo at SAF
2 min readAt a meeting held on Monday night (4), the deliberations board approved Cruzeiro on the changes proposed by Ronaldo Nazario to acquire 90% of Sociedade Anônima do Futebol (SAF). The approval was unanimous.
“I want to thank you for the trust you have just given me, and it is an honor to take Cruzero back to where it always should be. We have nothing to celebrate now, but work,” Ronaldo said after the applause of the council members.
For the investor, there should be more unity in the club. There is a lot of work ahead and I have a lot of enthusiasm and confidence. There is only one cruise. There is no SAF and there is no engagement. There is only one cruise. And let us reach our goals. Let’s go back to the elite and we will be giants again. .
Among other changes, Ronaldo asked the federation to transfer Tocas da Raposa I and II to SAF control as a peer so that he could take on the club’s tax debt, calculated at around R$200 million, in monthly installments of over R$1 million by 2032.
Ronaldo also set as a condition of remaining at the club submitting a judicial or extrajudicial refund request from the Cruzeiro Association. According to Venomino and his team, this will be the only alternative to resolving the club’s huge debt, which exceeds the 1.2 billion Brazilian real mark.

Voting was scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. At around 5pm, it was reported that Judge Bruno Teixeira Lino, of the Court of Justice of Minas Gerais (TJMG) had issued an injunction suspending the vote – club counsels Jose Eustaquiu Lucas Pereira and Antonio Carlos Crovenel, both of whom filed a preliminary injunction request.
The judges claimed that they were unaware of the contract between the association and Dahra, which made it “impossible” to vote on the case. In addition, they noted that “there are matters which are outside the deliberation board’s purview and require the convening of an assembly, as well as matters which need a risk assessment for a vote.”
According to Leno, he made such a decision because the points to be traded are “serious” and have high financial values, and therefore the decision can cause irreversible harm to the enterprise.
Immediately, Raposa’s legal department requested a preliminary appeal, an appropriate appeal against the decision. At about 10 p.m., about five hours later, the TJMG’s decision to accept the application reached Parque Esportivo do Barro Preto, in the central and southern district of Belo Horizonte, and the voting began – to approve, the councilors they just had to take their seats.
