Dan Seidel creates the series about America’s first black millionaire

Actor Dan Seidle (“Avengers: Endcam”) co-produces the series about America’s first black millionaire with filmmaker Steven Soderbergh (“Magic Mike”). The series is called “The Other Hamilton” and was created for the HBO Max.

“‘The Other Hamilton’ ‘is the story of Jeremiah Hamilton, a Haitian immigrant, a man of his time,” the product’s official summary reads, “recalling how he earned the nickname’ Prince of Darkness’ by defrauding insurance companies and paying for other losses”.

The series will replace the book “Prince of Darkness: The Untold Story of Jeremiah G. Hamilton, First Black Millionaire on Wall Street” by Shane White.

The adaptation will be written by Carlos Foglia (“The Last Symbol”), Ashley Nicole Black (“A Black Lady Sketch Show”) and Keith Joseph Atkins (“B-Valley”). ..

The actor and director have a long alliance. Seattle and Soderbergh have worked together on several films, including the trilogy that began with “Irresistible Fashion” (1998), “Traffic” (2000) and “The Eleven” (2001). The thriller “Not a Mistake” starring Soderbergh’s latest movie Seed was released on HBO Max last July.

It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
