Douglas Costa praises signings with Corinthians in 2021 and uses the club as an example: ‘The changing pages’

The Corinthian quartet signature is still a buzzword. This time around, attacking midfielder Grêmio Douglas Costa praised Timo for his endeavors of Giuliano, Renato Augusto, Roger Guedes and Willian to change the team’s jigsaw in the Brazilian Championship.

“Corinthians showed something great, they were in the middle of the table, suffering, they signed four important players and they completely reflected the overall situation.. I hit the key a lot. You can see that they made a team in two months, hit them and completely changed the page‘ said the player to stacked channel, showing how Grêmio could overcome the club’s current situation.

Douglas Costa’s statement comes in the midst of a difficult moment for the Rio Grande do Sul team. Grêmio is 19 in the Brazilian Championship and is in the relegation zone. The team scored 26 points throughout the competition period in the 27 matches it played.

Corinthians’ first boost was midfielder Giuliano. The player made his debut in his first match against Santos and since then, with his first signings on the pitch, Timão has won seven wins, six draws and two defeats. In the 15 matches played since then, the team has earned 27 points out of a possible 45.

So far, Giuliano and Renato Augusto have scored two goals each in the 2021 season. Midfielder Willian has suffered a left thigh muscle injury and Timao has embezzled it since October 13. On the other hand, Roger Guedes reached the fifth goal for Parque São Jorge last Monday, when Timao beat Chapecoense in the Brazilian Championship.
