Elon Musk says the first manned flight of SpaceX Mars will take place in 5 years

After indicating the possible identity of the creator of BitcoinIn an interview with the Lex Fridman podcast, Elon Musk revealed that SpaceX should take humans to Mars in at least 5 years.

Elon justified history, too, noting that the spacecraft is the most advanced rocket ever and that improvements involving rocket engineering are still required for this flight.

The Tesla CEO gave more details of the additional improvements needed for the Starship:

The Starship’s primary improvement is to reduce the cost per ton in orbit, and ultimately the cost per ton on Mars.

Musk further says that the spacecraft is designed for space exploration not only in relation to Mars, but also orbiting the Earth, the Moon, and many celestial bodies. Therefore, the CEO stated that the Starship should make its first trip to the Red Planet between 2026 and 2031.

This will be the world’s most powerful launch vehicle ever developed. It will have the capacity to transfer more than 100 metric tons into Earth’s orbit.

Another problem is the exorbitant cost of traveling to the planet, which would have to take six months and still establish an outpost before moving more people to Mars.
