While the Exynos 2400 performs exceptionally well in demanding tests like Wild Life Extreme and ray tracing Solar Bay, it throttles back after multiple runs of the Extreme test, ultimately falling behind the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Nonetheless, the Exynos 2400 outperforms the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in terms of raw performance, but falls short in terms of graphics power in comparison to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

One crucial factor affecting the performance of the Exynos 2400 is temperature. As the temperature rises, the sustained performance of the chipset diminishes. Despite these challenges, the Exynos-powered Galaxy S24 still delivers an impressive gaming experience, on par with last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Additionally, it offers better performance in titles that make use of ray tracing graphics.

For customers seeking peak performance, especially serious gamers, the Galaxy S24 Ultra, with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, appears to be the superior choice. However, those who prioritize future-proofing and the availability of ray tracing capabilities may find the Exynos chip more appealing.

The debate between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Exynos 2400 chipsets in the Galaxy S24 series will likely continue among tech enthusiasts and smartphone users worldwide.
