Fans pick the young passer-by as ‘deserving’ of another chance at Corinthians
1 min readFocusing on Corinthians’ moves in the ball market, Meu Timao split a poll wondering which of the players in the ‘corner’ could get another chance at the club. Among the names in the poll, Janderson stood out, with 29.9% approval from Fiel.
After striker, midfielder Luan, who returned to Timão after being loaned to Santos, received the most votes, with 28.4%. The list is followed by Reginaldo, Everaldo, Matheus Jesus and Daniel Marcos, respectively. See the full survey results below.
Of note, Janderson was part of Grêmio’s campaign during Brazil’s Series B Championship, which culminated in Rio Grande do Sul’s return to the elite of Brazilian football. He played in 40 matches for the season, scoring five goals and providing one assist.
This was Ganderson’s third consecutive loan. Before joining Grêmio, the young striker spent two seasons defending Atlético Goianiense. The contract with Corinthians is valid for another year, until December 31, 2023.
Formed by Corinthians youth teams, the player has played 38 matches for the club’s professional team, with five wins, nine draws and 14 defeats. In these commitments, he was responsible for contributing by scoring three goals.
