Félix Pigeon sélectionné pour les mondiaux juniors de patinage de vitesse

The Saint-Pien Félix Pigeon has earned a place among the delegation that will represent Canada at the world junior Championships of speed skating on short track, which will take place from January 25 to 27 at the aréna Maurice-Richard Montréal.

Speed skating Canada has recently unveiled the composition of its teams, male and female, based primarily on the results of the canadian junior Championships, held in mid-December on the side of Calgary in Alberta.

Pigeon (in the foreground on the photo) had finished 3rd in the 500 m, 4th in the 1000 m and 7th in the 1500 m (so that he has been involved in a fall with three other skaters). These performances have allowed the Holy Pien to take the 4th place in the overall standings.

The Alberta Matej Pederson as well as the Quebec William Dandjinou and Nicolas Perreault will complete the canadian team men’s world.

16-year-old Felix Pigeon will also participate in the Canada Games in 2019, held from February 15 to march 3 in Red Deer Alberta.
