A study published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology revealed that eating a handful of walnuts at least twice a week can reduce the chance of heart disease. For 32 years, researchers followed about 210 thousand people. They collected basic information on the volunteers such as health history, lifestyle, diet and diseases. Of that, they discovered 14,136 cases of cardiovascular disease, as well as 8,390 cases of coronary artery disease and 5,910 cases of stroke, many of which were fatal.
