Galaxy A23: a cheap Samsung phone with optical stabilization | Analysis / review

a Galaxy A23 It is another recent Samsung launch that arrived in Brazil with A 13. It debuted at a salty two thousand reais, but appeared in shows for almost half the price, which makes the purchase even more interesting.

Its design is similar to the more expensive models of the A-Line, unlike the A13 which comes with a more streamlined look. There is a large block emerging from the back of the A23 holding its four cameras. The front end still adopts the look with a low notch and a wide bezel under the screen. It deserves better treatment from Samsung.

Another point that deserves more attention is the multimedia part. An LCD screen is simple for a device of this size, and even more so when the previous device was equipped with an AMOLED panel. The refresh rate was kept at least 90Hz to ensure a good smooth flow with animations and some games. The audio portion remains limited to a single speaker, which results in sound distortion at the maximum.

The A23 comes with a Snapdragon 680 and 4GB of RAM, along with another 4GB of storage that was stolen. Even with plenty of memory, it still fails to deliver a good multitasking experience and keeps apps closing in the background. At least in gaming, we didn’t see any issues and the A23 runs heavy games pretty well.

The 5000 mAh battery lasts all day with ease, even with the screen in auto mode that switches between 60 and 90 Hz. Galaxy A23 comes with a 15W charger that supports up to 25W. With the standard charger, you will have to wait more than 1.5 hours for the battery to get full.

The photography set is exactly the same as the Galaxy A13, with the difference that in this set we have optical stabilization that significantly reduces shake in videos. The quality of the pictures taken by the Korean cell phone is good in favorable lighting conditions. It has a less efficient night mode than Motorola’s competitors and the ultra-wide range suffers from night shooting.

Is it worth buying the Galaxy A23? We’ve been expecting more from Samsung’s new affordable mid-ranger. You lose a lot of points to competitors, but it can be a good buy when it’s cheaper. To check all the details, simply access the link below:
