Galaxy A33 and A53: new mobile phones have 5G and two-day battery – 03/17/2022

The Samsung On Thursday (17) presented the two new members of the mid-range smartphone family Galaxy A and A33 5G network and the A53 5G. While the A53 5G is already on sale, the A33 5G will have more details released on April 19 (prices haven’t been determined yet).

Currently, the A53 5G costs R$ 2,429.10 for cash payment and R$ 2,699 for 12 instalments. Promotional price and valid until May 8th.

Visually, both devices have features that refer to those of the family Galaxy S, the most advanced and expensive by the company. Rounded edges and a prominent rear camera stand out.

In the case of the A53, what has changed from the old A52 is that there is an extra dose of improvement: up front, the screen edges are thinner. At the back, there is a camera niche with a curved edge. It will be sold in four colors: white, black, blue and peach.

In appearance, the biggest difference between today’s versions is size.

• A53 5G: Height 159.6 mm, Width 74.8 mm, Thickness 8.1 mm
• A33 5G: Slightly longer at 159.7 mm, lower at 74 mm and the same thickness at 8.1 mm.

The weight is practically the same: 189 grams for the A53 5G and 186 grams for the A33 5G.

The hardware structure is the same, with the plastic on the back and Strong Gorilla Glass 5. Both are certified IP67 Dust and liquid resistance – According to Samsung, the device is resistant to immersion in 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.

The screen differs between them. While the A53 5G uses a Super . coil Waleed’s mother 6.5-inch (16.51cm) with a 120Hz refresh rate (which is the softest animation – the higher the number, the better), the A33 5G comes with a 6.4-inch (16.25) Super Amoled display and 90Hz refresh rate.

2-day battery

According to Samsung, the two devices can stay away from the port for up to two days, thanks to the 5,000mAh battery.

When charging, the devices support fast charging devices up to 25W – which are sold separately. In the box, however, it comes with a 15W charger, which is still a good thing if we consider the trend of selling the accessory separately.

Among the duo, the A53 5G is the most complete model, but in terms of specifications it is very similar to the A33 5G. Both use the new Exynos 1280 platform, which Samsung dedicates to its mid-range devices. It is an octa-core processor with a maximum frequency of 2.4GHz, and it uses a 5 nmWhich helps in its efficiency.

In Brazil, both devices will have a single storage specification, 128GB, which can be expanded via a microSD card up to 1TB. RAM (which helps with performance) varies between devices, being 6GB for the A33 5G and 8GB for the A53 5G. These are good numbers.

At the launch event, Samsung highlighted that the two devices were highlighted by the arrival of technologies present in the brand’s most expensive smartphones, especially when we talk about the cameras.

Both devices use a quad-camera array on the back. But the A53 has better specifications. The model uses a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 64-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel depth sensor, and a 5-megapixel macro.

The A33 5G features an 8MP wide angle, 48MP wide angle, 2MP depth sensor, and 5MP macro.

On the front, the A53 5G uses a wide angle of 32MP, while the A33 5G uses a wide angle of 13MP.

In both devices, the wide-angle lens of the rear group has optical stabilization, which is especially useful when recording videos, as it reduces the risk of blurry images.

The brand also highlighted that there are improvements in the camera software, with gains especially in low-light photos and in portrait mode.
