GDF will pay private hospitals to get rid of SUS surgeries waiting list
1 min readThe Government of the Federal District (GDF) is preparing a public notice to contact private hospitals to perform surgeries in the public network. Unit rewards will be paid based on the SUS price list.
According to the governor Ibanes Rocha (MDB), the measure will be necessary to reduce the waiting list for surgeries, which has increased during a pandemic COVID-19.
The pandemic has caused many surgeries to be postponed. We will compensate for this deficit with the contribution of private hospitals. I have already spoken to some of them and they are willing to open up as much space as possible for patients,” Ibanes said.
In the coming weeks, the governor should make an appeal to hospitals to fill free time with patients from the public network.
The Ministry of Health is expected, by the end of next week, to finalize the notification of liaison with hospitals in DF’s private network.
Minister Lucilene Florêncio handed over the preliminary accounts related to the program to the Minister of Finance. “It’s a rally. We expect to be able to eliminate surgeries, while sticking to the order of severity, especially orthopedic surgeries,” Loslin said.
