Goalkeeper Criciuma designs a match with Cruzeiro: ‘We have an obligation to win’
2 min readOn the eve of the match against Cruzeiro, in the ninth round of the second division of the Brazilian championship, goalkeeper Gustavo, from Criciuma, predicted what the duel would be like. The two teams will face each other on Friday (27th), at 9:30 pm, at Heriberto Hülse Stadium, in Criciúma, in the state of Santa Catarina.
In an interview this Wednesday (25), after training at CT Antenor Angeloni, Tigre Archer admitted the difficulty of the match against Raposa. According to him, the hosts cannot fool themselves if they want to win.
“We know we can’t mess with a game against a great team,” he said. “In our home we have an obligation to win and we are focused on playing a good game.”
In addition, Gustavo made sure to highlight the defensive moment of the Santa Catarina team. Criciúma has not conceded any goals in two matches in the second division, against CRB (3-0) and Grêmio (0-0).
He concluded: “As the matches progress, the team begins to adapt, we have more modified marks and we are going through learning moments at the start of the tournament. We hope to maintain this focus for the upcoming matches.”

Criciúma is 12th on the leaderboard, with 10 points added, while Cruzeiro is the leader of the national competition with 19 points.
