Unimed Nordeste-RS has received another important certification attesting to the qualification of its services, this time in the field of hemodynamics, working with the Unimed Nordeste-RS hospital complex. The service in which diagnostic tests and therapeutic interventions are carried out through cardiovascular radiology, using catheters and contrast injections, has achieved Diamond Level certification, which is the maximum, awarded by the IQG Accreditation Committee.
“The Certificate of Excellence in Haemodynamics and Interventional Cardiology Services has been prepared by IQG – Accreditation of Health Services in partnership with SBHCI – Brazilian Society of Hemodynamics and Interventional Cardiology, and is recognized by the National Health Agency – ANS,” explained IQG members. “This is an SBHCI-accredited accreditation program, that focuses on process excellence, that monitors outcomes, uses the best scientific evidence and demonstrates structure in a systematic manner. It emphasizes patient-centered quality and safety elements and clarifies decision-making regarding expected outcomes,” they add.
For Complexo Hospitalar Unimed Nordeste-RS Assistance Coordinator, Angelita Paganen Costanzi, the achievement is the fruit of the work of this multidisciplinary team, who spare no effort to serve their beneficiaries with quality and dedication. “Professionals are trained and have a lot of knowledge in carrying out the process. In addition, we use the latest technology with exposure to low doses, which ensures safety in the service provided,” he says.
The Director of Special Services, Dr. Vicente Verde, also highlights the work of the professionals: “I congratulate all those involved in this achievement, especially the performance of the multidisciplinary team for their ongoing rehabilitation, making the hemodynamic service in the hospital complex an example of the region and system Unimed.”
Dr. Marcello Sabedotti, chief medical officer of the service, recalls that hemodynamics at Complexo Hospitalar Unimed is already 13 years old. “During this period, we have improved service protocols, invested in state-of-the-art equipment and formed a cohesive and distinguished multidisciplinary team. We have the scale and ability to carry out any intrusive procedure. SBHCI Diamond Level Certification only reinforces the hard work that has been done for years. We continue to improve service to deliver technology and safety and humanity to take care of our patients,” he says.
The nurse in charge of hemodynamics, Marian Pizzi, highlights the importance of participating in the accreditation process. “It was a pleasure to work on this milestone, realizing how we were able to fulfill the requests made by IQG, to improve the quality of operations and services, always focusing on patient safety,” he says. “The team and I have received this recognition with great gratitude. I believe it motivates us to improve even more, as it motivates us to continue to seek excellence practices,” he adds.
