Net revenue from continuing operations in Brazil was R$2.215 billion in the first quarter, down 2.6% year over year. The residential segment was in line with the sequencing comparison and grew 3.5% compared to the second quarter of 2020, supported by the pace of fiber growth, reflecting the focus of Nova Oi’s operations in this segment, the company notes, replacing legacy copper services.
On the other hand, B2B also showed stability in total revenue compared to the first quarter of this year, but it showed a decline of 10.6% compared to the second quarter of 2020, mainly due to the bad scenario of Covid-19. The pandemic, which has continued to weigh heavily on the economy and businesses in general, the company said in its earnings statement.
Oi’s EBITDA was R$1.284 billion between April and June, down 5.52% from R$1.359 billion recorded in the same period last year. Ebitda’s margin (Ebitda on net revenue) decreased from 29.9% to 29.3%.
