According to what was revealed, the meeting did not take place because of A “Schedule Mismatch” between the two.
When asked by the press if he was disappointed, Zelensky replied:
“I think he was disappointed,” he said, smiling and chuckling among reporters.
The duo was invited by the Ukrainian on Friday (19). At first, Lula showed resistance as he assessed the appropriateness of holding the meeting due to Brazil’s desire to maintain a neutral position regarding the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
According to the Brazilian government, the possibility of a meeting had been negotiated and a meeting room had been set up, but the meeting was not on the agenda.
