Maria Eugenia Novaes, a 20-year-old student from São Paulo, was diagnosed with treatment-resistant epilepsy at the age of 12. I’ve had several tests since then and been in the hospital several times, but With the crises still severe and conventional treatments not working, he ended up looking for other treatments.
“I shook the stairs, and I fell backwards. My brother was home and he found me; I opened my head and I had 15 stitches. My mother was emailing all the doctors Sao Paulo I asked for directions, until a doctor in the US called me. He asked if I could use CBD oil and re-exams. So I started testing it which is really good. And the good thing is that it has almost no side effects, and in my case, for example, it helped a lot ”, he recalls.
For four years, Maria Eugenia linked traditional medicines with two doses of medicinal cannabis imported from the USA. The glass you use costs R$5,000; It lasts a month and a half. To import legally, her family obtained a permit from Anvisa.
“I would really like to not have to take any medication, I would really like to not have epilepsy anymore, but I don’t think that is the case anymore, right? I think it will last my whole life, and until then,” I will take CBD oil. I would like it to be accessible to everyone,” he says.
