No improvements expected soon.

Intel believes that the shortage of semiconductors may last much longer than expected, which could affect the stock of products such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, graphics and others.

Pat Gelsinger, CEO of Intel, hung Gradual improvements are expected, but the situation will not be resolved any time soon.

“We are at the worst moment, every four months of next year we will gradually improve, but we will not have the balance between demand and inventory until 2023,” Gelsinger said.

Previously, AMD’s Lisa Sue commented that she expects improvements for the second half of 2022 and now we have Intel’s Gelsinger increasing the time window for improvements around component shortages.

Xbox’s Phil Spencer has also commented on the matter in the past and said there are more problems than a shortage of chips affecting the market. In addition to component issues, obtaining all parts and managing events from consoles, not forgetting to distribute the market according to demand, are other issues affecting manufacturers.

Like Lisa Sue, Spencer shared the prediction that improvements are only expected sometime in 2022.
