Los Angeles Police said Friday that two French “Lady Gaga” dogs, who were stolen by thieves who were said to have shot and injured the hound, were recovered unharmed.
Captain Jonathan Tibbett, elite robbery and murder squad leader, said a woman brought the dogs to the Los Angeles Police Olympic Community Police Station, northwest of downtown, at around 6 p.m.
Lady Gaga’s representative and investigators headed to the station and confirmed they were dogs. The singer is currently in Rome to shoot a movie.
Tibbitt said the woman who delivered the dogs appeared to be “not involved and unconnected” in the attack, which occurred Wednesday night. It was not immediately clear how the dogs got into.
The dog walker, Ryan Fisher, was shot once while walking with three of the singer’s dogs in Hollywood. A video showed a white sedan hopping off and two men jumping from it. They struggled with dog walkers before someone pulled out a pistol and fired a single shot before fleeing with two dogs.
In the video, a dog walker can be heard stating that he was shot in the chest. Tibbitt said he expected to survive his injuries
On Friday, Lady Gaga repeated her offer of a $ 500,000 reward for returning her two dogs – named Koji and Gustav – without asking any questions.
“I still love you, Ryan Fisher,” she wrote on Instagram. “You risked your life to fight for our family. You are a hero forever.”
