Madonna was taken to the hospital, where she was intubated into the intensive care unit and passed out
2 min readWe hear the “Material Girl” singer, 64, was intubated for at least one night before the tube was removed — and is now alert and on the mend. We are also told that his daughter, Lourdes Leon, has been by his side throughout the ordeal. Madonna’s longtime manager, Guy Oseary, shared on Instagram Wednesday that his client “has developed a severe bacterial infection that led to a stay in the intensive care unit for several days.” While a source tells us the Queen of Pop is now “out of the intensive care unit,” Osiri explained in her post: “She is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.”
The “Express Yourself” artist recently celebrated the graduation of her 10-year-old twins, Estere and Stella, from middle school. “2 Kweens! Happy Graduation!” she wrote on Instagram last Wednesday alongside a photo of the girls, each holding a bouquet of flowers and wearing a blue hat and dress. We are told that she is now in an alert state and making a full recovery.
Earlier this year, Madonna announced that she would launch her “Celebration” tour in honor of the 40th anniversary of her music career. The 84-date world tour was expected to kick off July 15 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, but Oseary’s Instagram post revealed that it had been postponed due to the health issue.
