Myra Flores, MP who held a seat in the Legislative Council United State He was born on Tuesday (21) in Tamaulipas, Mexico and immigrated at the age of six. I grew up in the Rio Grande Valley area of Texas.
For the next seven months, she’ll be a federal representative for that district in Washington.
The victory was extraordinary for two reasons.
One is political: Flores is Republican, the Rio Grande Valley is traditionally democratic – this is one of the regions with the highest concentration of Latino voters in the United States. It has already declared itself a supporter of former President Donald Trump, who was elected in 2016 with a promise to build a wall to prevent Mexicans from crossing into the United States.
Another reason the victory is so unusual is that Flores is the first Mexican woman to serve as a member of Congress.
Most of her relatives have always voted for the Democratic Party, but she’s realized that her views on abortion, religion and border security have more to do with GOP guidelines. I started getting involved in party politics 5 years ago.
I applied for a female deputy vacancy left vacant because the incumbent left the office to work as a lobbyist.
Flores made more money than any other contestant in this election.
“I am proud to be the wife of a guard who patrols the border and a mother who is fighting for a better future for her children,” she said after her election.
She also stated that she wants to inspire the children who work in the fields, in the fields of strawberries, onions, cotton or something else. “I want you to know that you can become members of Congress if you work hard,” he said.
During the campaign, one of his banners was inflation in the United States. “Everyone is angry at the cost of living,” he said.
She also wants to reform the immigration process for those who want to go to the United States legally.
In November, she will run again – the elections in which she was victorious are only for a temporary period.
