Men’s sitting volleyball team beats USA to place in Paris 2024 |  Paralympics

Brazil’s men’s sitting volleyball team defeated the United States 3 sets to 0 to win the Parabon of the Modality Regional Championship in Edmonton, Canada. With Saturday’s win, coach Fernando Guimaraes’ team secured a spot in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

Brazil campaigned undefeated during the tournament and won the title. At the end of the Canadian tournament, Brazil did not give the Americans a chance to secure a 25/20, 25/19 and 25/19 victory.

Matin’s women’s team also has a place in Paris 2024

The regional championship is contested by four countries: Brazil, Canada, United States and Argentina. In the first leg, all against all, Brazil took the lead. In the semifinals, Brazil faced Argentina and qualified for the final against the United States.

In addition to volleyball, Brazil has already guaranteed two other sports at the mega event in the French capital: men’s golf and cycling (track or road).
